The Flatiron Mirror is a CNC-machined reinterpretation of the early round mirror design, created exclusively for Porsche F-body cars (MY 1965–1974). Named after its reshaped flat-iron base, it honors the original proportions while incorporating modern manufacturing quality and dramatically improved visibility.

The mirror is side-independent and fits left or right, on left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive cars alike.

The Flatiron is made in Austria in the truest sense: machined locally, with every component sourced in Austria, then individually plated and hand-assembled in our Graz workshop.

The Flatiron Mirror is a reinterpretation of the round Durant-style mirror that defined the first decade of the 911. Its base is CNC-machined from a solid billet aluminum block — the reshaped foot that gives the Flatiron its name. The door contour was 3D-scanned to achieve a true plug and play fit on every F-body from MY 1965 to 1974, left or right side, with a concealed internal gasket where the base meets the sheet metal. No drilling, no permanent alterations. Machined, plated, and hand-assembled in Austria — every component sourced in Austria.

At 600 grams, the Flatiron weighs roughly double the original — by design. The added mass dampens vibrations and delivers a rock-steady image, even at speed, where the featherweight originals blur into uselessness. The difference on your door? About one can of soda. In return, you get a wider range of articulation than the original mechanism, so every driver can dial in the perfect view — and lock it there.

Smaller form factor. TRIPLE the view.

The original F-body mirrors came with flat glass — a narrow keyhole to the road behind you. The Flatiron uses a convex mirror glass, the same principle every modern car relies on, showing you nearly three times the area of the original — from a mirror with a slightly smaller form factor than the one it replaces. And for the early cars with pop-out quarter windows, whose opening mechanism famously fights the factory mirror position, the Flatiron geometry was designed around exactly that. It works flawlessly, vent window open or closed.
